Desktop Support Specialist

 

Obra Capital is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to be based in our New York office. Reporting to our Managing Director of Technology, this position will be based full-time in our New York office. The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for responding to various support inquires from users located both onsite in our New York office in addition to provide remote support for our employees located in other offices.

BELOW ARE A LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support for firm-approved applications through various methods (in-person, phone, email, remote access).

  • Respond to and prioritize incoming IT ticket requests, escalating issues to the appropriate technician where needed. 

  • Maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware, peripherals, and accessories, ensuring they are virus-free and secure.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and application issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Configure and optimize desktops, notebooks, and printers for performance, reliability, and ease of use.

  • Collaborate with the local Technology team on hardware/software installations, user training, and support requests.

  • Provide audio/visual setup and technical assistance for onsite and offsite events.

  • Assist in configuring and deploying Apple DEP devices, including personal mobile devices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

  • 1+  years of technology support experience, specifically in PC hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • At least 1+ years of experience working with notebook computers, with preference for Lenovo hardware.

  • Familiarity with remote communications hardware and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.

 

Salary range is $60,000 to $70,000 per year. Salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
