Director of Product Management and Investor Relations

 

The Director of Product Management and Investor Relations will be responsible for all aspects of product management and investor relations for our different funds, including assisting with devising marketing strategies, due diligence materials for our business. There is potential for the individual to take on additional investor relations responsibilities within the team over time. This role supports key strategic priorities and offers high visibility to senior management and investors. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, and analytical skills, as well as exceptional writing capabilities. This is a full-time position in our New York office.

BELOW ARE A LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on fundraising efforts and keep clients informed through regular updates, ensuring timely completion of all deliverables.

  • Act as a primary contact for the business development team, offering expert investment insights, addressing concerns, and guiding them through the due diligence process.

  • Create and update marketing and due diligence materials, working closely with various teams.      

  • Engage directly with investors and internal teams to articulate strategies and develop materials for business development purposes.

  • Coordinate with different departments to gather and consolidate information for communication materials and investor inquiries.

  • Develop and maintain content for marketing and due diligence materials, including PPMs, pitch books, fact sheets, and DDQs.

  • Conduct continuous market and competitor research, monitoring peer performance and industry trends.

  • Organize logistics and presentation materials for investor meetings and conferences.

  • Draft written communications for investors, including mass updates and personalized follow-ups.

  • Identify market opportunities and execute strategic initiatives, contributing to effective product launches

  • Assist in managing marketing campaigns in specific regions and investor channels.

  • Facilitate due diligence processes for new investors.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and Obra Capital's product performance, providing market insights to clients and colleagues.

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives, identify market opportunities, and conduct research to determine effective product launches.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 7+ years of experience working in an Investor Relations capacity at a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager or Similar Financial Institution

  • Knowledge of alternative credit and the insurance industry preferred, based on banking/structuring, investment, portfolio management, and/or marketing experience.

  • Experience private placement memorandums (PPM), pitch books, fact sheets, and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) for investment vehicles.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm professionally.

  • Highly motivated with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic, including proactively addressing projects at hand and improving processes.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.

  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

In accordance with New York State Pay Transparency laws, the salary range is $150,000 – $225,000 per year. Salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
