Vlad Sorokulov

Vlad Sorokulov is a Managing Director of Portfolio Management and Pricing. Vlad brings over 20 years of experience in insurance and longevity investing. Prior to joining Obra, Vlad served as a Principal at Jade Mountain Partners, where he oversaw the valuation process of the portfolios exceeding $1 billion in assets under management. His role involved designing advanced financial models, developing rigorous buying risk criteria, and implementing sophisticated pricing strategies. Vlad was also deeply engaged in client relations, deal origination, and risk management. Mr. Sorokulov's previous roles include serving as an Independent Advisor, where he managed life settlement portfolios with over $11 billion in death benefits, the former Marinoff Advisory Services, where he was responsible for ongoing pricing and servicing of over $1 billion of life settlements, and as the Director of Quantitative Services at BAC Structured Life Group. His career began in Ukraine, where he led actuarial departments and developed insurance products and strategies for p&c and life insurance companies.
Mr. Sorokulov holds an MBA in finance from Auburn University in Alabama and an M.S. in Statistics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in Ukraine.
