Joseph Hwang
SPECIAL SITUATIONS
Mr. Hwang is the Managing Director of Special Situations at Obra Capital and has been with the firm since 2018. Prior to joining Obra, Mr. Hwang served as the Managing Director (Head) of Capital Markets for the JG Wentworth Company. He was responsible for the securitization program and all capital markets activities. Mr. Hwang structured over $3 billion in esoteric assets. Prior to JG Wentworth Company, he served in various leadership and capital markets roles at UnitedHealth Group, American Express, and TD Bank. Mr. Hwang holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and a Master of Science from Villanova School of Business.
